Trumpeter Alex Norris is a long-time veteran of the New York Jazz Scene. Some of the many artists he has worked with include Slide Hampton, Joshua Redman, Chris Potter, Brian Blade, Carl Allen , and Betty Carter. He has also played with The Village Vanguard Jazz Orchestra, Ron Carter’s Great Big Band, The Maria Schneider Orchestra, and the Dizzy Gillespie Alumni Big Band. As a Latin music sideman, he has worked with Manny Oquendo, Andy Gonzalez, Poncho Sanchez and Eddie Palmieri. He currently works with The Mingus Big Band, Spanish Harlem Orchestra, and Conrad Herwig’s Latin Sides Group.
