Chiara Izzi is an Italian jazz singer and composer based in New York since 2014, internationally recognized for her expressive voice, refined musicality, and strong artistic identity. Her global breakthrough came when she won First Prize at the Montreux Jazz Festival Vocal Competition, awarded by Quincy Jones. She later returned as a featured artist, opening for Paco de Lucía.

Since then, she has built a solid international career, performing at major venues and festivals including the Kennedy Center, Montreux Jazz Festival, and Aspen Jazz Festival, as well as iconic New York clubs such as Birdland, Blue Note, and Smalls. She received an Independent Music Award for Best Jazz Vocal Song for “Circles of the Mind.”

Her discography includes Motifs (2013), Across the Sea (2019) with Kevin Hays, and Live in Bremen (2022). Her music is shaped by deep narrative sensitivity and a strong intercultural perspective, blending her European roots with her artistic development in the United States and Latin America. She has collaborated with artists such as Kevin Hays, Chris Potter, Grégoire Maret, Aaron Goldberg, and Nilson Matta, establishing herself as one of the most expressive voices in contemporary jazz.
