On the NYC Jazz Scene since the 1980s, Pete Malinverni has played the great clubs and halls of the City, dating back to Bradley's and, now, One Flight Up. His collaborations have been many, in the duo, trio, small and large group, and even choir formats, his eighteen recordings as a leader testifying to his wide-ranging and eclectic musical palette. Pete's performances are characterized by a generous spirit, between the musicians and with the audience. Pete's a teacher, too, and served over ten years as Chair of Jazz at SUNY Purchase, where he mentored numerous of the great young musicians on world stages today.
