Yves Brouqui started his career in Paris during the 80s, playing with French and American musicians such as Georges Brown, Oliver Johnson, Steve Potts, Alain Jean-Marie in local jazz clubs as well as European jazz venues. He moves to New York in the early 90s where he spend considerable time performing in local venues and clubs with Spike Wilner, Joe Strasser, Paul Gill, Grant Stewart. Before moving back to France he records “Live at Smalls” with his quintet. Now based in Paris he continues touring and recording, making regular visits to New York.
