Brooklyn-based saxophonist and composer Justin Flynn hails from Rochester, New York. He comes from a long tradition of hard swinging, lyrical Upstate saxophone players. Flynn’s sound is powerful and expressive. He brings this strength and emotion to his work as a bandleader and award-winning composer. His deep roots in jazz have given him the opportunity to work in various styles and traditions with musicians from around the world. Flynn tours and conducts clinics internationally, and has performed and recorded with current and legendary jazz greats, including Vincent Herring, Peter Erskine, Joe Locke, Jeff Ballard, and Randy Brecker.
